Lake Neusiedl is one of the windiest watercourses in Europe. It is not a surprise that Austria’s best sailors come from this area. The waves on the lake are short and steep due to the constant wind and shallow water and provide ideal conditions for both beginners and experts. This challenging area is very popular - but take care as the weather can change very quickly and has surprised many a sailor. As long as one is aware of the wind and weather forecast, sailing on the steppe lake is a unique experience.
The Marina Weiden offers mooring spots for 350 sailing boats. In addition, 115 dry berths are available. At the moment, all water and dry places have been filled. Interested parties should join the waiting list and will be informed once a spot becomes free. More information about the berths can be found in Gemeindeamt Weiden am See.
