The Seebad, or lakeside recreation area, in Weiden was opened for visitors in 1959 and includes a swimming beach with extensive lawns and shady trees. In addition, the jetty area has been completely covered with wooden planking, providing ideal conditions for sun-lovers at the water’s edge.
Visitors will find abundant car-parking facilities as well as bicycle stands. The toilet area includes a baby changing table, a disabled toilet and a first aid room for those with minor injuries. Warm water showers are also available (for a small fee).
The Strandbad has a kiosk where one can hire out deckchairs as well as buy snacks and drinks. The Seerestaurant Weiden serves Pannonian specialities, coffee and ice-cream; the sun-terrace provides the perfect place to watch the legendary sunsets over Lake Neusiedl.
A large children’s playground and the neighbouring lawn provide opportunities for games and fun for everyone. The trampolines and beach volleyball court offer a chance for some sporting action next to the water.
We hope you understand that dogs are not allowed in the Strandbad Weiden, due to hygiene reasons.
